DC15: Market behaviour analysis and commercialization strategies for energy-neutral wastewater treatment systems (WP4)
Host institution: SYDVATTEN AB (Sweden)
Supervisor: Kenneth M. Person (PhD promoter)
Objectives: i) to develop an understanding of market trends and demands for energy-neutral wastewater treatment technologies, (ii) to analyze the regulatory, financial, or technological barriers hindering the market entry of these technologies, (iii) to outline the necessary steps and resources required to successfully bring the technology to the market.
DC14 will collect data on industry trends, competitors, and market sizes for various wastewater treatment technologies and renewable energies. DC14 will identify macro-environmental factors and utilize risk analysis models (e.g., PESTEL analysis) to identify potential risks and challenges in commercializing energy-neutral wastewater treatment technologies, enabling proactive mitigation strategies supported by systematic cost-effective analysis. DC14 will design a Go-to-Market strategy for the rapid commercialization of the technologies and will provide recommendations to align technological innovation with market demands and customer needs.
Expected results: 1) Market analysis report including detailed insights into market trends and demands for energy-neutral wastewater treatment technologies.2) Risk analysis and mitigation strategy, encompassing potential barriers, risks, and strategies to overcome challenges. 3) The Go-to-Market strategy, outlining steps to propel the commercialization of the technologies.
