Morish Azabo
DC10 - Aarhus University
Morish holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Water Resources Engineering from Busitema University, Uganda. His bachelor’s thesis involved assessing the impacts of solid wastes on ground and surface water quality. He then, driven by the desire to contribute to a sustainable environment, pursued a Master of Science degree in Environmental Engineering at the Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology, Egypt, where he deepened his knowledge in research and environmental topics, with a particular focus on water and wastewater treatment. His master’s thesis involved integrating phytoremediation and adsorption as environmentally friendly and sustainable techniques for greywater treatment.
He is now a doctoral researcher funded by Marie Skłodowska–Curie Doctoral Networking program NEUTEN at the Department of Agroecology, Aarhus University, Denmark. His research focuses on exploring electro-Fenton integrated constructed wetlands for Effective Pesticide Removal from Agricultural Drainage. By combining an electrochemical process with nature-based solutions, his project aims to achieve sustainable agricultural practices.
